FFA

The Agriculture Education/FFA program at Flanagan-Cornell High School is designed to provide students with a fundamental knowledge of the diverse spectrum of the Agriculture Industry.  Students have the opportunity to take a four year sequence of classes which will give them basic background in Animal Science, Plant Science, Soil Science, Agriculture Mechanics, Agriculture Economics, and Agricultural Business principles.  The goal of the program is to provide both an awareness of the impact of Agriculture in everyone’s daily life and subjected if they pursue an agriculture degree at a two or four year college.  Agriculture education students are strongly encouraged to join and participate in FFA.  The mission of the FFA is to provide activities which will allow students to enhance their agricultural experience and develop their potential for Leadership, Personal Growth and Career Success.  FFA activities include attending both State and National FFA conventions, participating in Career Development Events such as livestock and dairy selection, land use evaluation and crop judging.
